Children's Legacy Trust

Overview

Children’s Legacy Trust is a recognition society reserved for donors who include Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in their estate planning. It provides a special means for recognizing you and for encouraging others to do the same. Donors may choose to be a member of the Trust or may choose to remain anonymous.

How to Join

The following types of commitments, confirmed in writing and subject to certain restrictions, qualify you for membership in Children's Legacy Trust:

If you have already included the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in a bequest or other planned gift, we hope you will let us know by filling out the member profile form. Your willingness to be listed as a member of Children's Legacy Trust encourages others to follow your example. We acknowledge and respect those who wish to remain anonymous, but we urge you to let us know of your plans on a confidential basis in any case. It supports the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta’s planning for the future. Of course, if you have not yet included the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in your plans and you would like to explore the best options for you and your family, do not hesitate to contact us. We would be glad to assist you on a confidential basis and without any obligation.

Benefits of Membership

Mr. Thomas Egleston’s bequest in his will of $100,000 in 1921 to create a children’s hospital in honor of his mother… Would grow to over $16,000,000 in 2007.

Each new member receives a Children’s Legacy Trust lapel pin, a letter from the President of the Foundation, and exclusive invitations to certain special events held each year. In addition, members are invited to the annual Circle of Care/Legacy Trust party held in the fall.

To be a member of Children’s Legacy Trust, simply notify one of our gift officers of your plans. They will work with you to complete the necessary paperwork that allows you to select your level of recognition. Membership is restricted to those who have actually named Children’s as a beneficiary in their will as opposed to being a contingency beneficiary.
